As your Wedding Celebrant, it will be my absolute pleasure to write and share your love story with family & friends and create a truly bespoke ceremony for you both. Your relationship is unique therefore your ceremony should be too!

We will work closely together to design a ceremony script that is a true reflection and celebration of you as a couple, as individuals, and which will tell your story exactly how you want it told.

The joy of using a celebrant is that you can pretty much have anything you want. Mix aspects of your individuality, culture and elements of beliefs if you wish, through selected choices of readings, music, and bespoke symbolisms. Involve friends & family, mix it up – this is designer not “off the shelf”. I can also help you to write your vows and offer a full rehearsal of the ceremony prior to the day.

I deliver warm and relaxed ceremonies with scripts styled perfectly to match your personalities and vision. I can officiate in any location of your choice – I’ve performed ceremonies in woodland, on the beach, in Grandparents back garden, in schools, stately homes, private residences, restaurants and pub gardens. The only stipulation is that we have the landowner’s permission and there are no legal requirements for wedding licensing.

How we work together

Creating and delivering your ceremony is about listening really carefully to what you want to say about your relationship and writing a knock-out script for all your family and friends to experience, that reflects this individuality. Here’s how we will work together.

Amazing wedding celebrant !

From the first conversation we knew we had made the right choice in choosing Kathy to conduct our ceremony. From originally looking at the registrar led service, it became clear that that wasn't us and we wanted a ceremony that was personal to us. Kathy took the time to get to know who we were as a couple, our values and what we wanted from our wedding and out future together. She made appropriate and perfect suggestions for vows and readings and put together a lovely service, taking on board our comments and suggestions. She told our story beautifully. I am still getting comments about how lovely the service was. Thank you Kathy!

Absolutely. I’m lucky to have met a wonderful selection of local wedding suppliers over the years and will happily recommend their services if you need ideas. I also love recommending alternative suppliers such as a wedding creche, assistance with elderly or disabled wedding guests, unusual decorations & entertainment and alternative catering. I also have a lot of knowledge and experience about all sorts of venues so am happy to help if you need another opinion.

Generally, I would say around 20 minutes from your entrance to your exit and the ceremony will flow nicely with a welcome, your story, readings, vows etc and we’ll work that out together and decide what is best for you.

No. You will give notice to your local registry office and then attend a “Statutory Ceremony” with 2 witnesses where you will state some contractual words and sign the legal documents. There is a small fee for this. If you have any more questions about this just get in touch. There is currently a recommendation with the Law Commission to revise the wedding laws which would bring England and Wales into line with the likes of Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland and the Channel Islands which may mean that Celebrants are licensed to marry legally.

I could talk forever on this but here’s the short(ish!) answer.

A Celebrant offers a more flexible and personalised service to a couple. I will work closely with you leading up to your wedding to understand your unique story, values and characteristics, which will then allow me to craft a truly bespoke ceremony that reflects you both, using words, phrases and a style that you are comfortable with. We can make it as traditional or unconventional as you wish. I will offer suggestions and advice on all aspects of the ceremony including readings, poems, vows and other meaningful aspects. I provide a non-denominational and inclusive option for couples from different cultural, religious or spiritual backgrounds and I can perform your ceremony absolutely anywhere, as long as we have the land owner’s permission.

Choosing readings or poems for your wedding
One of the many fabulous advantages of having a Celebrant-led wedding is the choice you have for readings and poems. One of my favourite pastimes is researching new authors and finding other little snippets such as movie quotes or rarely-heard spiritual blessings from all reaches of the world, so as a result of this obsession I have an extremely eclectic…
